KIT ESSENTIALS

a makeup artist's guide

Welcome to step 2 of packing my kit! Over the next few weeks I'll be sharing my favorite staples for my pro set bag. Every makeup artist has some tried-and-true, no-fail products to lean on. I'm no different! I have a few solid neutral makeup pieces that I know will carry me through any shoot--editorial, commercial, personal...anything! These guys never leave my set bag. I know they work, and so stand behind them 100%. I've used them even on super high-res shoots for giant billboards--a true test if there ever was one! If you're shopping for your own makeup or building your pro kit, either way I can endorse the wear and formula!

1. Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks. Basically, I always use these lipsticks. The formula is edible, it's so chemical-free! The color range is truly varied and there is a nude and a bold for every skin tone. They are matte and last forever, but lips stay plump and moisturized for hours and hours. Great wedding lipstick! I have five favorite colors though--never leave for a shoot without them! Tannin, Sake, Honeycomb, Soufflé and Thistle.

Thanks so much for reading! More from my kit soon :)
